Rowing Ireland's High Performance Programme is responsible for the selection, training and preparation of Ireland's teams for Junior, Under 23 and Senior international competitions including the World Championships, Olympic and Paralympic Games

The National Rowing Centre, just outside Cork city, is home to the High Performance Programme. With a multi lane 2000m rowing course, 18km of water to row on and a fully self contained training centre, the National Rowing Centre offers a great training environment.

Rowing Ireland's High Performance team also run Talent Identification and Development programmes, with Rowing Ireland's first High Performance Academy based in Belfast. The Belfast academy is a partnership with Queen's University Sport, and supported by Sport Northern Ireland.
